यादें होती है गहरी नदी में उठी भंवर की तरह
नसों में उतरती कडवी दवा की तरह
या खुद के भीतर छिपे बैठे साँप की तरह
जो औचक्के में देख लिया करता है

यादें होती है जानलेवा खुशबू की तरह
प्राणों के स्थान पर बैठे जानी दुश्मन की तरह
शरीरमें धँसे उस काँच की तरह
जो कभी नहीं दिखता
पर जब तब अपनी सत्ता का
भरपूर एहसास दिलाता रहता है

यादों पर कुछ भी कहना
खुद को कठघरे में खड़ा करना है
पर कहना जरुरत नहीं, मेरी मजबूरी है
